P laintiff was a customer who consumed al- cohol at a bar in Plano. After the plaintiff became intoxicated, several bouncers re- moved him from the bar. The Pltf asserted that the bouncers used excessive force by flipping his legs over his head causing him to land on his neck.
He sustained spinal fractures which resulted in incomplete quadriplegia. The defense argued the plaintiff was contributorily negligent for failing to drink responsibly, not leaving the premises peace- fully when requested, and physically resisting at- tempts by security personnel to remove him.
