ROB KOHEN

Rob is masterful at his job.”

R ob Kohen has earned plenty of big settlements and verdicts during his still-young career as a personal injury spe- cialist. And these settlements have earned his clients significant financial relief. Just look at 2020: Last year, Kohen earned a $20.5 million settlement for a cli- ent who was paralyzed and later died after the driver of a semi-truck fell asleep at the wheel and crashed into the client’s home. During the same year, Kohen negotiat- ed a $15 million settlement for a motorcy- clist who lost his leg in a car crash. These results aren’t surprising. Kohen started his career with Salvi Law on a strong note. In one of his first trials with the firm, Kohen served as a part of a trial team that won a $15.3 million jury verdict for an Army veteran who was injured at Chicago’s McCormick Place Convention Center. He also took a heavily disputed liabili- ty and causation case to trial that settled on the day of closing arguments for the $300,000 policy limits. “Rob is masterful at his job,” said one Chicago attorney who has opposed Ko- hen. “He understands and cuts right to the core of the issues and the varying angles of those issues, addressing every- thing that he needs to in discovery with precision.” This same attorney said that though Kohen is aggressive while fighting for his clients, he is never rude or angry in the courtroom. This professional demeanor

and commitment to his clients has helped Kohen build his thriving practice. “Rob is civil, friendly and straightfor- ward when working up a case,” his fellow attorney said. “I would trust him to work up a personal injury case at any level and would recommend him as a personal inju- ry attorney to my own friends and family.” Scott Bentivenga, a partner with Chi- cago’s Lewis Brisbois Bisgaard & Smith, has worked several cases against Kohen. He, too, says that Kohen always impresses with his skills and passion for representing his clients. “Rob is a dedicated, hard-working, smart, respectful, mature and compas- sionate lawyer,” Bentivenga said. “His re- sults speak for themselves. Rob focuses on the details, and he leaves no stone un- turned in his relentless pursuit of the facts on behalf of his clients.” “Rob is detail-oriented, whip-smart, good on his feet, studious, knowledgeable of the law, charismatic, passionate and compassionate,” said attorney Lindsay Margolis. In recognition of his outstanding legal work, Kohen was honored in the 2021 Edi- tion of Best Lawyers: Ones to Watch. In addition, he has been named a Rising Star by Illinois Super Lawyers every year since 2018. Kohen has also been recognized as an Emerging Lawyer by Law Bulletin Pub- lishing, an honor given to the top 2 percent of lawyers in Illinois who are under 40 years old or have practiced 10 years or less.
