B eth F. McCormack is a divorce and family law partner at Beermann LLP, a law firm that has provided zealous representation in family law matters with excellent results since 1958. Beermann LLP was awarded a Tier 1 ranking, a title reserved for “Best Family Law Firms” in the state, by the U.S. News and World Report in 2020 for the 10th consecutive year. Beth received her law degree in 1992 and in 2013 took her years of expertise in family law to Beermann LLP when she joined the firm as an equity partner. Beth focuses on highly complex family law matters, with vast experience in complex litigation, mediation, and collaborative law. She represents children, as appointed by a judge, which makes her unparalleled in her ability to navigate complex parenting issues. As one of the most influential attorneys in Chicago, she has naturally become a mentor to many professionals in the legal community. Twenty years ago, Beth created and continues to facilitate monthly multidisciplinary practice groups with other lawyers, mental health professionals, and financial advisors to improve the family law practice in and around Chicago. Beth has a monthly column in the Chicago Daily Law Bulletin, where she educates other lawyers on best practices, in addition to writing articles for several other publications. She serves on the International Board of Directors for the Association of Family and Conciliation Courts (AFCC), where she holds seats in the Continuing Education Committee and the Scholarship Committee. She is also a former president of AFCC’s Illinois Chapter. Additionally, Beth is a Collaborative Law Fellow at the Collaborative Law Institute of Illinois. She also serves on the Advisory Council for Rainbows for all Children, an agency dedicated to working with children who have endured trauma as a result of divorce or a parent’s death, and Between Friends, a group dedicated to breaking the cycle of domestic violence. As a thought leader for both agencies, she is able to provide her years of experience, in and out of the courtroom, to help provide the best possible support for the families she serves.
