AM PROGRAM (3 Credits) : 8:30am - 12:00pm Trouble in Paradise: When Law Firm Operations Fail An examination of law firm operations and the major pitfalls lawyers need to avoid. When there is a dis- agreement among the attorneys at a firm, when do those issues rise to the level of ethical violations? • Breach of fiduciary duty and operating agreement disputes. • Referral fees and collaboration with other law- yers and law firms. Guidance on how to structure agreements working with other lawyers and an examination on when and how fees are earned. • Substance abuse by attorneys at your firm. An ex- amination of the duties of the law firm and lawyers to address possible substance abuse.

PM PROGRAM (3 Credits) : 1:00pm - 4:30pm Reviewing Milestone ARDC Decisions and the Impact on the Practice of Law The panels will examine the origins of major cases and rules and their impact on Illinois attorneys.
