Joseph J. Miroballi Mr. Miroballi, founding member and partner, has been a dedicated advocate for victims of wrongdoing since 1979, with a focus on medical malpractice, product liability, and construction accidents. His successful cases against major medical institutions prompted significant reforms in medication dispensing and administration practices.
Allegedly, an obstetrician and various hospital personnel failed to properly iden- tify and respond to non-reassuring fetal monitoring strips for over three hours. Further, the hospital’s neonatologist allegedly did not arrive until two minutes after delivery, and did not attempt intubation until five minutes of life. As a result, F-newborn sustained significant anoxicischemic brain damage. Now age 7, the child suffers from spastic quadriplegia, cortical blindness, seizures, and global developmental delay. This is the highest reported Will County medi- cal malpractice verdict or settlement in JVR’s records. Paid by the unnamed hospital and other medical defts. The settlement was the subject of an article in the February 4, 2019 Chicago Daily Law Bulletin newspaper.
