He challenges traditional legal models, offering acces- sible and client-centered services while staying grounded in a deep sense of social responsibility.” Tony is known, too, for his advocacy on behalf of individuals with a disability, particularly deaf and hard-of-hearing. He has been a panelist and speaker for Hands & Voices, a non-profit or- ganization supporting parents of children who are deaf or hard- of-hearing. He has also worked with the Illinois Court Reporters Association to ensure that communication needs for those who are deaf or hard-of-hearing are not overlooked. "What distinguishes Tony is his commitment to lifting others

as he succeeds," said Mitha Rao, founder and managing attorney with Rao Legal, LLC. " He has built his success by continuously contributing to the success of those around him and by foster- ing a spirit of community." He is a regular speaker in the community on all issues relat- ed to end-of-life planning, and frequently assists his peers with questions related to Estate planning, Probate, Adult Guardian- ship, Real Estate, and Personal Injury matters. Tony gives back to his community, too, serving as President of the Arab American Bar Association of Illinois, where he helps to coordinate various events, including the first Arab American Scholarship Foundation Gala, Judicial Reception, and social events. Retired Judge William Haddad has watched Tony grow in the profession since he was his legal extern, Haddad said, “He developed highly talented research and writing skills. He brought those skills to bear as a highly talented attorney and bar association leader.” In addition, Tony is a long-time volunteer at Chicago Volunteer Legal Services, where he assists low-income families with their legal issues. "Those who work with Tony will tell you that he is thought- ful, strategic and unafraid to lead with his values," Samarghandi said.
