C onfidence. Deep knowledge of the law. And a strong court- room presence. These are the attributes that her peers say set personal injury attorney Eirene Nakamura Salvi apart from other attorneys in this field. "Eirene is a force," said Mimi Moon, shareholder with the Chi- cago office of Pretzel & Stouffer. "She has a strong presence about her and exudes confidence behind her young years, but she has the substance and intelligence to back it up. Her track record speaks for itself and is unparalleled." Salvi has recovered more than $550 million on behalf of her clients since joining Salvi, Schostok & Pritchard in 2016. And she saw success early in her career. In Salvi's first trial, the firm won an $11.25 million jury verdict on behalf of a mother killed in a car crash. In 2017, Salvi was part of the trial team that won a record-set- ting $148 million verdict on behalf of a dancer paralyzed by a pedestrian shelter at O'Hare Airport. This ranked as the highest compensatory verdict ever awarded to an individual plaintiff in Illinois.

"Eirene is a gifted person and lawyer," said Blair Warner, se- nior counsel with Attorneys' Liability Assurance Society. "She is tenacious, competitive and bright, but combines this with em- pathy and a unique ability to connect with people. She connects with her clients and tells their story in the most powerful and effective way possible." In addition to her legal victories, Salvi finds time to give back to her community. She is active in affinity bar associations and just recently completed two terms on the Board of Managers for the Chicago Bar Association. She serves on the Young Pro- fessional Board of the Chicago Bar Foundation and is an officer of the board of directors of the Japanese American Bar Asso- ciation Educational Foundation. She is a past president of the board of Lawyers Lend-a-Hand to Youth. "It is her empathy, sympathy and ability to get fair and excel- lent results for her clients that make her exceptional," said Jean Liu, general counsel with CompTIA.
