H ow has Kaitlin Post built a thriving family law practice at such a young age? Her peers point to Post's ability to care- fully and empathetically educate and guide her clients through the financial and emotional stresses of family disputes, her in- depth knowledge of family law and her ability to craft the best resolutions for her clients. A Judge in the Cook County Domestic Relations Division, says that because of these abilities, Post's colleagues, opposing coun- sel and judges think so highly of her. That includes Scannicchio, before whom Post has often appeared. Post focuses on providing her clients with the best possible results while shining in both the courtroom and during mediations, Scannicchio said. "Kaitlin strives to be child-focused where applicable and pre- serve financial stability to successfully set clients on a healthy path in the new phase of their lives," Scannicchio said. "She has excellent negotiation skills and the creativity to reach resolu- tions in mediation and in litigation." Given her legal knowledge and dedication to her clients, it's not surprising that Post today heads the prenuptial agreement practice at Beermann LLP. Here, too, Post has starred, tapping her deep knowledge of the law to best serve her clients. "Her ability to understand complex concepts in other areas of law, such as trusts and estates, has allowed her to obtain great outcomes for clients in negotiating prenuptial agreements," said Jessica Interlandi, with Chicago's Schiller

DuCanto and Fleck LLP. Like all successful attorneys, Post has earned positive word- of-mouth from her clients. Interlandi said that Post strives to recognize her clients' needs. "Katie is a great advocate and negotiates fairly but aggressive- ly for her clients," Interlandi said. "I have observed the trust and confidence that her clients have in her." Post also gives back to her profession and community. She has taught continuing education courses to more than 40 Beer- mann attorneys and serves as a mentor to young lawyers. She also volunteers at the Beerman LLP Family Law Clinic in part- nership with Chicago Volunteer Legal Services and at Bernie's Book Bank in Lake Bluff, an organization that distributes books to children. "Kaitlin has the unique ability to take highly complex issues and distill them into manageable pieces of information for cli- ents to understand," said Chicago attorney Michelle Lawless. "She is highly regarded by colleagues, opposing counsel and judges for her professionalism and civility in a practice area that is filled with emotion."
