T rust is the basis of Elin Park’s success. She represents major corpo- rations in their most sensitive and high-stakes litigation. Park earns this business because she’s built such trust among her clients. This isn’t surprising to those who have followed Park’s career. She’s earned a long list of major victories in state and federal courts in Illi- nois and across the country. She’s successfully defended class actions at both the trial and appellate levels for her clients. “Elin is an exceptionally bright, charismatic and skilled litigator,” said Kristy Gonowon, corporate counsel and director with Lowe’s Compa- nies. “She is a trusted counsel and lead lawyer who advises companies on their legal rights, obligations and risks associated with a multi-facet- ed spectrum of business transactions and disputes.” Park’s peers recognize just how talented this young attorney is. She has received awards from the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Illinois, the Chicago Chapter of the Federal Bar Association and the Seventh Circuit Bar Association. The Illinois Comptroller honored Park with its Trailblazer distinction in 2023. In 2021, she was recognized by Crain’s Chicago Business as a Rising Star. During her career, Park has served as lead counsel on behalf of a na- tional retail company in a contract dispute with a vendor, lead counsel for a trade association in a vendor dispute and represented a chemical distributor in a billion-dollar contract dispute with a supplier. Park has also represented a public utility company in a dispute with a contractor and its parent company that involved several hundred mil- lions of dollars in damages stemming from defective performance and a public utility in a regulatory proceeding resulting from a wildfire. And that’s just a small sample size of Park’s work. She also represent- ed an Internet service provider in a regulatory investigation regarding its response to a storm and insurance companies in class actions alleging unlawful kickback programs in violation of federal and state statutes. Park also provided representation for a financial institution in a class action alleging mismanagement of trust assets and a mortgage lender in a series of contract disputes. Her peers say that Park leads her matters with efficiency and zealous advocacy. She has been praised by a federal court for her “superlative” advocacy. When Park isn’t representing her clients, she isn’t shy about giving back to her community and profession. She currently serves as Immediate Past President of the Asian Amer- ican Bar Association of Greater Chicago and as Immediate Past Vice President of the Korean American Bar Association of Chicago. Park is also a signature Fellow of Leadership Greater Chicago, the region’s premier civic leadership development program. In addition, Park has served on the Alumni Network Leadership Council of the Public Interest Law Initiative.
