W hat sets Jacqueline Stephens Breisch apart from her fellow family law attorneys? Her peers point to Breisch’s strength as a negotiator and litigator, her ability to quickly master complex financial matters, her unwavering advocacy for her clients and their children and her creative legal mind. With these skills at her disposal, it’s little wonder that Breisch has become a highly sought-after counsel on cases that involve particularly complicated financial matters, custody disputes and maintenance and property division challenges. “Jacqueline understands that each case is unique and adjusts her approach based on the needs of her client,” said Jenna Wadulak with Wheaton, Illinois-based Huck Bouma. “Her empathetic, transparent and open communication style enables her to establish trust quickly and help clients make informed decisions. She is calm under pressure and handles high-conflict custody issues, division of assets and complex fi- nancial cases with ease.” Breisch isn’t the only skilled family lawyer practicing in the Chicago area. But few are able to build such strong relationships with their clients. Breisch’s fellow attorneys say that she quickly gains the trust of her clients and builds a rapport with them. This makes it easier for Breisch to craft the tailored legal strategies that serve the best interests of these clients. At the same time, Breisch has built positive relationships with judges and her fellow legal pros. This further enhances her effectiveness as an advocate for her clients. “She has a remarkable ability to navigate complex financial matters, custody disputes, maintenance issues and property division with fi- nesse and expertise,” said retired Chicago attorney Maol Murray Sloan. “Jacqueline is a strong client advocate who efficiently navigates the complexities of each case. She possesses a remarkable ability to craft creative solutions that align with her clients’ goals, ensuring their best interests are met.” Breisch also finds time to serve her profession. She has served children and their families as a Lake County Child Representative and Guardian ad Litem and was past managing editor of the Illinois Divorce Digest. A mother to two young children herself, Breisch is deeply com- mitted to safeguarding the well-being of children entangled in acrimoni- ous divorce proceedings. Breisch’s peers say that they expect this young attorney to see much success during the rest of her time in family law. Few attorneys, they say, posses as many of the skills, both legal and interpersonal, that an attorney needs to thrive in this sector. “Family law is incredibly difficult,” said Caroline Hecht, an attorney with Chicago’s Buckley Fine, LLC. “Not only is it important to have a mastery of the law, but a family law attorney must also be able to handle the human element of the practice, which is high-conflict, high-emotion. Jacqueline excels in both of these areas. She is calm under pressure and helps guide clients through one of the most difficult times in their lives toward a solution that improves their family’s circumstances for the long term.”
