J ayne E. Bart-Plange is a Partner at Burke, Warren, MacKay & Serritella, P.C. As a civil litigation and trial attorney, Jayne has tried high-value, complex cases and successfully argued dispositive motions in both State and Federal courts. Jayne represents clients in Illinois and throughout the Midwest with a primary focus in the logistics and transportation industry. Clients look to Jayne for practical business counsel coupled with her fierce litigation skills, and they appreciate her strategic and methodical approach to reaching favorable resolutions on their behalf. Jayne’s logistics and transportation practice is full service, from reviewing shipper, broker, carrier contracts for balanced and protective terms and compliance with FMCSA, to assessment of independent contractor agreements, bills of lading, and UCC-related issues. Her

clients include domestic and international freight brokers, third- and fourth-party logistics corporations, trucking and transportation companies and industry professionals, commercial property owners, and global hotel management chains. She is recognized among her peers as an adept negotiator, and has successfully defended clients in disputes involving FMCSA violations and administrative remedies, breach of contract, civil conspiracy/in-concert liability, U.S.C. Section 1983, strict liability, manufacturing and design defects. Prior to joining Burke Warren, Jayne was a trucking and transportation litigation partner at a well-known litigation defense firm. In addition to her legal work, Jayne served as Chair of the Diversity & Inclusion Committee where she created and led the firm’s year-long Internship Program for 3L students.
