LISA M. DELEON PARTNER Anderson, Rasor & Partners LLP
L isa DeLeon is an attorney and partner at Anderson Rasor & Partners, LLP. Ms. DeLeon’s practice focuses primarily on medical malpractice, railroad litigation, toxic tort litigation, and general liability defense. Her clients include hospitals, medical groups, individual physicians, and multiple Class 1 railroads. Her experience extends to all phases of litigation, including appellate advocacy and multiple jury trials. Ms. DeLeon earned her B.A. in History and Legal Studies from Northwestern University in 2010 and her J.D. from Chicago-Kent College of Law in 2014. During law school, Ms. DeLeon was a member of the Moot Court Honor Society and a finalist in the Charles Evans Hughes Moot Court Competition. She was also the recipient of the CALI award for outstanding legal writing, and earned a 4.0 GPA in trial advocacy and appellate advocacy courses. Ms. DeLeon additionally served as an editor of the Seventh Circuit Review, a law journal dedicated to examining relevant issues addressed by the Seventh Circuit Court of Appeals. Ms. DeLeon is a 2017 graduate of the International Associate of Defense Counsel (IADC) Trial Academy, one of the oldest and most respected programs for developing defense trial advocacy skills. She is also a 2022 graduate of the National Association of
Railroad Trial Counsel (NARTC) Trial College. From 2019 through 2025, Ms. DeLeon was named a “Rising Star” by Super Lawyers Magazine, an honor bestowed upon just 2.5% of Illinois attorneys. She has been selected for inclusion by the Leading Lawyers Network for Medical Malpractice Defense since 2021. She is also a member of the Chicagoland Healthcare Risk Management Society (CHRMS) and the National Association of Railroad Trial Counsel (NARTC). At Anderson Rasor & Partners, LLP, Ms. DeLeon has served on the Hiring Committee and the Practice Management Committee, playing an active role in welcoming new attorneys to the firm and mentoring them as they develop their legal skills. As a first-generation college graduate, Ms. DeLeon has a unique understanding of how difficult it can be for new attorneys to embark on their legal career in an unfamiliar, and sometimes intimidating, environment. She prioritizes making sure that her team feels comfortable, supported, and challenged. Ms. DeLeon is a proud native of the South Side of Chicago and currently resides in the Logan Square neighborhood of Chicago. In her free time, she enjoys playing volleyball, spending quality time with her rescue dog, and rooting for the Chicago Cubs.
