A s a Partner at Nyhan, Bambrick, Kinzie, & Lowry for over eight years and more than 21 years of career experience, Anne-Marie has focused her practice on civil litigation matters, all aspects of employment law, insurance coverage issues, and as of 2025, she is becoming immersed in the workers’ compensation realm. Her career is one defined by excellence in advocacy and dedication to others in the profession, leaning on her diverse and expansive legal background and ability to take a holistic view of each matter to integrate legal, practical, and business considerations into a clear strategy tailored to client needs. Anne-Marie has served as lead counsel in various complex litigation matters before federal and state courts and administrative agencies, including the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission, Illinois Department of Human Rights, and Illinois Department of Employment Security. Within these arenas, she’s secured findings of no substantial evidence of discrimination in more than 20 cases and shielded her clients from multiple six-figure payouts. These types of results earned her title as a 2023 Crain’s Chicago Business Notable Leader in Employment and Labor Law and reflect not only her command of the law but also her ability to handle sensitive disputes with precision and care. At Nyhan, Anne-Marie demonstrates her leadership through her commitment to supporting fellow attorneys’ development, formally and informally, by consistently offering advice to help navigate complex cases and issues, which helps to grow their confidence. Her never-ending willingness to put herself forward to assist others enhances the collaborative environment of the firm and sets a

strong example for junior attorneys. In the legal industry, Anne-Marie is widely recognized as a respected leader. She brings an earned perspective and deep industry knowledge to fostering the growth of the next generation of attorneys, notably through her work with the Illinois State Bar Association’s Lawyer-to- Lawyer Mentoring Program. She demonstrates her commitment to advancing the field by frequently presenting insights on workers’ compensation and employment law for professional organizations such as the Illinois Self-Insurers’ Association, Workers' Compensation Trust of Illinois, Claims and Litigation Management Alliance (CLMA), Chicago Bar Association (CBA), and Illinois Supreme Court Commission on Professionalism. She has authored multiple chapters in Wrongful-Death and Survival Actions in Illinois for the Illinois Institute for Continuing Legal Education (IICLE®), providing forward- thinking, innovative analysis to continue to shape the field. Anne-Marie’s leadership and dedication to service extend well beyond her legal practice. She serves on the DEI Committee for the CLMA and previously served on the Judicial Evaluation Committee for the CBA, demonstrating her commitment to equity and integrity within the profession. Since 2019, she has provided pro bono counsel at Kaleidoscope Chicago, an organization that works to ensure children have safe and supportive homes. During the COVID-19 pandemic, Anne-Marie played a vital role in helping the organization modify its practices and operations to continue supporting vulnerable families through a time of great struggle. She was elected as Board Secretary in 2023 and continues to serve as a trusted leader within the organization.
